The paper was published in the Society for General Microbiology’s International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology (IJSEM). Now in its 59th year, IJSEM is published by SGM for the Bacteriology and Applied Microbiology Division of the International Union of Microbiological Societies in conjunction with the International Committee on Systematics of Prokaryotes. It is the official journal of record for novel prokaryotic taxa. The original paper is available on request.

The Society for General Microbiology is the largest microbiology society in Europe, and has over 5,500 members worldwide.
